Liberty Classic-Philly takes it toll

Tough day, but we salvaged a top 20 without our sprinter. Charm got 13th and Kristin was 25th. We lost all but 3 of us to crashes. I was 38th. Pics later.
Here is where I hung out the week before Philly, at The House of Whimsy.

CSC-Kelly grabs 4th place!

Hi Mom!
Leave it to the Brits to combine smoking and eating while watching sports.

Future World Champion, Enrique, is current Mexican National Champ in Tricycles discipline. Look at those quads!

Confederate places in the US

There are places you think are free of all things evil....

Kelly shows her secret weapon in the sprints, her 2nd pair of legs!

This market in Studley sold confederate flag souvenirs. And we had to defend all the leg-shaving male cyclists in the US by telling these porch ogres that they do it for manly reasons.
Enlarge this pic to see Andre the Giant's Time Trial bike.
Mechanicsville, VA had this to say about abstinence.

Hey kids, ice cream might help you overcome the urge.

Captech -4th place

How racing in the Richmond heat affects people...Kelly is panting, Clara is preening and Mandy is Barbazoning.

Kelly made it onto the front page of the Richmond newspaper

Charm worked her way into 4th place. I got 6th. Kelly was 15th. Captech is a hard race

Memorial Day Poles

We had the pleasure of meeting some Polish guys who were embracing our Nation's holiday in a nontraditional way....
And on their tandem they had this retro computer that only measured in furlongs

One Gas Station in Philly Had All This

When you drive for too many hours, you find things like this funny.
How does Kelly fuel her sprints? With Pork Crack.

Here are some Fashion Tips:
No, Clara, you are not able to pull off wearing a Doo rag. Stay with Dior
He wants to be big, but wearing shorts like that only makes him look like a pixie.
Again, try to wear clothes that fit you.
Ooops I match the gas station.

Arm warmers with sleeveless jerseys look terrible, but the hair and shoes kill the potential here.

Baltimore is for lovers-4th place

The day after Raleigh crit, we were scheduled to race in Baltimore. This race is not my favorite as it seems to be the most dangerous and frustrating course on the calendar. Some 100 people lined up and no attempts to breakaway ever happened. There are no official corners but a lot of swarming and pinching.
After 20 laps, it was a field sprint. Not a whole lot to say except Tina won again and Kelly got 4th.

Here is the first page of results from BikeJam.
Since Charm has shown her superhero colors by winning tripeaks stage 3 so we sprang for some Marvel comics briefs for her. Tie dye is her own. She is hiding a banana in them in this picture cuz they are boy briefs.
